INTRAMURAL SPORTS
To sign up for Intramural Sports please come to Mr. Schreiman's room (P20) during your snack break.
Teams can consist of any combination of 7th/8th grade boys and girls, 1 male teacher, and 1 female teacher. Except in the April Basketball Tournament. Where an all teacher team will compete in the Tournament.

Football Schedule

FOOTBALL RULES
- NO BLOCKING.
- No fumbles. Ball is dead once it hits the ground.
- You have 4 downs to score, or turn the ball over on downs. No punting or field goal kicks.
- You can have 1 player rush the QB and count 6 Mississippi. On each drive you can have 1 blitz. You must yell blitz if you are going to blitz.
- QB can not run, unless the defense calls blitz.
- If the ball carrier's knee, elbow, or bottom touches the ground, the play if over.
- As with all Intramural Sports at NHMS, PLAYOFFS will:
- Start during the last week of the month
- Consist of the top 8 teams
- Single elimination
- Winner will receive T-shirts provided by ASB

OCTOBER DODGEBALL - 6-on-6 (Justin H. - Champs)
NOVEMBER SOCCER - 6-on-6 (Jonathan L. - Champs)
DECEMBER FLAG FOOTBALL - 5-on-5
JANUARY VOLLEYBALL - 6-on-6
FEBRUARY KICKBALL - 10 fielders
MARCH SOFTBALL - 10 fielders
APRIL BASKETBALL - 3-on-3 (SEPARATE TEACHER TEAM)
MAY DODGEBALL - 6-on-6
JUNE INDIVIDUAL OLYMPIC EVENTS (TBD)
DODGEBALL RULES
- No heads shots. If you hit someone in the head, you are out.
- If you cross the center line, you are out.
- If you throw a ball after you are out, the opposing team can remove any additional player from your team.
- If you are holding a ball, and the opposing team hits you or THE BALL that you are holding, you are out.
- As with every Intramural Sport at NHMS, if you argue with the referee or bully anyone, you will be removed from the sport for the remainder of the month.
Soccer Rules
- No tripping, kicking, or pushing.
- No more than 6 players per team (including the goalie) can be on the field at a time.
- To score a goal, you must kick the ball between the cones, no higher than the cones, and both cones must remain standing after the ball passes the cones.
- The team with the most points, when the bell rings, wins. If the game is tied, the game ends as a tie.
- As with all Intramural Sports at NHMS, games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
- Check School Loop for a complete schedule of dates and times for your game.
- Games will begin to later than 10 minutes after the start of lunch. If you show up late, your team is disqualified.
